Principal's Message
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Nicole Mangiere Nover and I could not be more excited and honored to be the principal of Anne M. Dorner Middle School.
Middle School is a time of tremendous growth and transformation in a child’s life. With the exception of the early stages of infancy, there is no other time in a child’s life when they will experience such profound physical and cognitive growth.
I believe that middle school leaders must have a deep understanding of the needs of adolescents, experience working with staff to expand their own understandings of this stage of development, and a penchant for developing systems and structures that place the student at the center of the learning process.These are the qualities I bring to AMD and that I will foster in our leadership team and school staff.
I believe all schools should be places where staff and students are excited to attend, where love permeates the school environment, where families feel heard and supported, where all stakeholders feel safe to learn and grow, and where we strive to make the world a better place each and every day. This will define our year at AMD.
The leadership team and I are so excited to meet your student leaders for what we know will be an awesome school year filled with learning, new friendships and opportunities.

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2023-2024! Mi nombre es Nicole Mangiere Nover y no podría estar más entusiasmada y honrada de ser la directora de la Escuela Intermedia Anne M. Dorner Middle School.
La Escuela Intermedia es un tiempo de un tremendo crecimiento y transformación en la vida de un niño. Con la excepción de las primeras etapas de la infancia, no hay otro momento en la vida de un niño en el que experimente un crecimiento físico y cognitivo tan profundo.
Creo que los líderes de la escuela intermedia deben tener un profundo conocimiento de las necesidades de los adolescentes, experiencia en el trabajo con el personal para ampliar su propia comprensión de esta etapa del desarrollo, y una inclinación por el desarrollo de sistemas y estructuras que colocan al estudiante en el centro del proceso de aprendizaje. Estas son las cualidades que traigo a AMD y que voy a fomentar en nuestro equipo de liderazgo y personal de la escuela.
Considero que todas las escuelas deben ser lugares donde el personal y los estudiantes estén entusiasmados de asistir, donde el amor impregna el ambiente escolar, donde las familias se sientan escuchadas y apoyadas, donde todas las partes interesadas se sientan seguras para aprender y crecer, y donde nos esforcemos por hacer del mundo un lugar mejor cada día. Esto definirá nuestro año en AMD.
El equipo de liderazgo y yo estamos muy emocionados de conocer a sus líderes estudiantiles y sabemos que será un año escolar impresionante lleno de aprendizaje, nuevas amistades y oportunidades.
